Well hello there! (or… Yes, this blog is still here!)

I’ve just logged into the admin part of the blog and am slightly horrified that the last time I posted anything (or indeed logged in) was mid-February. February. As in, like about 16 weeks ago. Yikes. Should really stop telling people I’m a blogger.

Life Gets In The Way (In A Good Way)

In fairness, we did move house at the very end of March and then, of course, WE GOT MARRIED!!!

A month ago today actually. Does a month-iversary count for anything? I don’t know, but I’ll try to convince Mr Maus otherwise. Anyway, yeah, life has been pretty busy lately.

I promise, whether you want to read it or not, I will absolutely write about our day and share photos of Darth Vader and some Stormtroopers who were in attendance. I will tell you all about how I made my dress and how my daughters’ dresses looked like R2-D2 and BB-8.

Not today though. Today I’m blowing metaphorical cobwebs off my blog and applying about a billion WordPress updates.

Poor Neglected Blog

I’m also having a think about the kinds of blog posts I want to write when I’ve exhausted the topic of our wedding. (Did I mention I got married?!). I seem to be really good at writing endless lists. Like, ooh I’ll write about us being vegan… oh hang on, let’s talk about zero waste… oh wait, plastic, let’s discuss plastic!

Yesterday I spent pretty much the entire day immersing myself in the Ethical Hour group on Facebook; I’ve been a member for a couple of years now but the group has become membership-only this month. Frankly, it’s come at the right time for me as I emerge from the fog of wedding planning and needed to feel inspired (not only for Thimble End but for our business too). It’s given me some ideas for future posts because, as always, I’m not sewing for the sake of having something to post about.

I’m going to wrap this very quick post up now, and get on with some blog maintenance amongst other things. Toodles! (I have never said the word toodles in my life, I have no idea where that came from).

Toria
